Can someone explain on a very high level what this is and what it does? I don't know what you mean by high level, whether you mean omit the detail or include as many as possible. On the chance that you mean the former, talkbox does three things at the moment. First, it speaks the menus of the Archos units. It allows modification of menu settings, obtaining of information in the menus, and actions to be performed from the menus. All this is done without any need for the screen. Not all actions are supported, but the majority are. Secondly, it spells, or gives numbers to, the file names in the directories, and uses either voice tags or spelling to identify directories in the file system's structure. This allows browsing around the disk without the display. Finally, it identifies bookmarks by index number and time. Hope all that is of some use.
