Definitely. It gives you an additional 6 meg your voice file may take.

If the file is sooo big, it would also take a significant time to load. Too
bad Jens' patch doesn't work for all disks, it's a nice one. Cuts the
loading time in half. (I'm using it, as well as the 8 meg.)
