I like the idea of advanced settings, as an option in the menus.
Personally, I like all of the options possible in the menus, but I certainly
understand why basic menus would be wanted too.

I can't remember ever having a need to tweak the peak meter options.

Bad idea. Even "power users" want/need to change their settings on the
road. However, and "advanced mode" or something could be appropriate, to
hide some settings in the menu.
