RE: USB2 problem

Hmm. I just loaded the original archos firmware and it connects perfectly as
a USB2 connection. Seems that for my unit Rockbox doesn't allow a USB2
connection.

I wonder if anyone has ever experienced that before?

Matt

Sounds like the AJB is being correctly recognised as a USB2 device, but (for
some reason), your hub is somehow appearing to be a USB1 (the rest of your
note implies you have a USB 2 hub). You don't say whether or not you are
using an external hub or not - if so, both it and your internal root hub
need to be USB2 to get USB2 speeds. (If either of them is USB1, then the
message you get is to be expected - but not the reboot, except for perhaps
the first time you attach the device).

If this is the case, the first thing I would try is unplugging all USB
devices, including external hubs, and then removing all USB devices within
Device Manager to get XP to reinstall all USB drivers and then try
connecting the AJB again.

Steve
