I have to use a lighted 3-diopter magnifying glass/lamp now, but it wasn't hard. Took about 3 hours or so... Just get the hang of getting the tip of the iron there first, then touch the solder to it, it melts, when it fills the hole and spreads, pull back and blow on it to cool. Kind of expensive to try as a first kit, though, maybe buy one of their less expensive kits or see what radio shack has to practice with first. Just be quick with solid-state stuff like IC chips, diodes and transistors.. > -----Original Message----- > From: Glenn Ervin at Home [mailto:GlennErvin_at_cableone.net] > Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 7:39 PM > To: gary_wingert_at_sonic.com; Rockbox development > Subject: Re: FM transmitters > > > Does it require soldering? > I solder big things, like coaxial cables or 2 lead jacks to wires, but > nothing small or on a circuit board. > Glenn _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2004-06-04 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
