This is control-freakism out of control. Totally out of control.

Pray tell, what do you think having some name associated with some code has to
do with this? What possible link can you see between having a name and the
legal status of Rockbox? If BlueChip gives you a name today what would you do
with it? It would provide zero information about where his bits came from or
their relationship to the original Archos code.
You really don't know who ANY of us are. The name I use on the net could be
an alias. I know several people who are active on the net who use perfectly
reasonable sounding names that are not their own. If I'd had 20-20 hindsight
20 years ago when I started 'netting I'd have never, ever let my real name
appear on the net.
BlueChip, why don't you just play their silly game, plop open a phone book,
grab the first name your eyes land on and give that to Bjorn? That way Bjorn
can think he's in control and you can maintain your privacy.
