I, too, have those on occasion, but I'm unclear about the cause. Might
be the somewhat flaky way the USB connection to the JBR works on my
98lite installation, might be the Hitachi Disks, might be something else
entirely. I also get corrupted directories on occasion although I always
Safely Remove the JBR first, but ScanDisk reliably fixes these errors.
Besides, I have found that not switching the unit off when the disks are
still spinning has greatly reduced the frequency of this.
