We are definitively positive about porting Rockbox to other platforms. However the IRiver probably won't be a target, since they have built their Karma model around the heavily guarded PortalPlayer chip. You have to give away your firstbort child to see the docs for that chip.

Yes. The AVOS team has done an outstanding job researching the hardware for the Archos Multimedia devices, and a Rockbox port to those players seems possible.

Note however that the core team, like most people, have very limited spare time and we are therefore not making any schedules or commitments concerning this. For those of you who want to see Rockbox on other hardware, the best way is to go ahead and take the lead. We will cheer you on and help out as much as we can.
