Subject: errors compiling the code
From: Mansoor Chatha (machatha_at_yahoo.ca)

Hi,

I finally got the right gnu compiler and compiled the
code on Solaris. However it gives me the following
errors during compilation:

make -C ../../tools
make[2]: Entering directory
`/home/machatha/FYDP/rockbox/rockbox/tools'
cc -O -ansi scramble.c -o scramble
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not
installed
make[2]: *** [scramble] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/machatha/FYDP/rockbox/rockbox/tools'
make[1]: *** [../../tools/convbdf] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/machatha/FYDP/rockbox/rockbox/uisimulator/win32'
make: *** [sim] Error 2

What does scramble and sim errors mean? BTW I have gcc
but i don't have sh-elf-gcc. Could that be a problem?
Where and I get sh-elf-gcc (how to install it?).

Thanks a lot,

Mansoor Chatha
