This feature (Play+repeat in the file browser doing the same
as On+Play) is there since 5 Oct 2004.

Unfortunately it is not yet documented in the official manual,
which describes the 2.1 release version. It is also not yet in
the 2.3 release manual draft (but likely to be added).
