Hi Sandra - I'm betting that its just the mbr thats been wrecked, or
corrupted clusters. You can check this by trying to format the hard
drive in the recorder. Alternatively a scandisk may help (scandisk has
hidden wonders, and can be the unsung hero of harddrives).
I suggest giving the options above a go before buying another hard
drive......
