Subject: OT: Amazing fangle

OT: Amazing fangle

This has nothing to do with RockBox per se but it is in the same spirit.

This guy reverse-engineered and then built from scratch the Apollo (moon
rocket) main guidance computer. It is an exact enough replica that it runs
the Apollo mission software, COLOSSUS 249. The scope and complexity of
this project is just breath-taking. As is the original computer,
constructed completely of RTL 3 input NOR gates.

He built not only the computer but also a simulator, a cross compiler and
a netlist fan-out checker.

Big PDFs but worth the downloads.
