As I write this reply I have the Ipod and Archos connected the Ipod is
transferring at 13meg the Archos at 1meg and I have swapped them over
to the others USB port but it's still the same, I thought a USB device
like the Archos would either work at USB2 speed or not at all I never
realised you could have a fault that simply made it run at USB1.1
speed.

Thank you for that information because with getting conflicting
information about this I was unsure if to spend money in sending it
back to be repaired.

I have just reflashed my Archos back to the Archos firmware from
Rockbox do you no if I have to run archos_rec128.ucl also please
because am trying to get Rockbox off incase Archos void my warranty.
