I have the Recorder 20.

I know how to take off the side rounded piece to expose the batteries.

Once I've done that, do I have to remove one of the rubber bumpers, or what do I do to allow the batteries to be taken out?

With just the rounded piece taken off, if I try to take out the batteries by pulling from the center where they touch, it seems like I'd have to dangerously force them out.
