The idea with that beep setting was that when the beep will be extended in
the future to other events also (such as keypresses in general), that
setting can be used to configure the beep volume (like with iriver
firmware). So adding a beep to a manual track change event was only the
first thing to try (and i found it very useful while keeping the player
inside pocket and switching between tracks without taking the unit out).
Some other people are also thinking that this kind of beeping can be
useful at certain situations (but it should be configurable).
