Advice and Guidance Required

I an VI and have just been given a present of the Studio 20 Archos player
and now the fun starts.
 
Yes I have looked at the web site and am totally confused as my IT skills
extend to office applications and not much more.

Any idiot proof instructions on what I need to download in what order etc..
would be helpful.
