I can appreciate the idea of the split and second it.

I for one have no idea what you developer guys are talking about. I just
appreciate that you are talking and it is all to my benefit as a user.

I sometimes fear that my questions about the use of the player may interfere
with your chatter about development issues, and on a user-only list, that
would not be an issue. I am glad to hear that the developers would still
monitor and input to use users and hopefully gain ideas in return.

However, it works out, I am thankful for the project and everyone who makes
it happen in whatever way they can.

I've ventilated this idea on IRC and got positive feedback, but I'll through

I think the time as come for this mailing list to get split in two:

  * Rockbox-users

  * Rockbox-dev

I can't helping having watched the amount of dev talk on this list decrease
a
lot over time, and the amount of "users talk" increased a lot.

I think that by separating the lists, we'll get happier list subscribers in
both camps. Yes, many of us would of course subscribe to and post to both,
but
the large majority would not.

Any major drawbacks?
