Hi,

recent bookmarks saves your last ten stops. So once you get to ten the 11th disappears.

the beauty of the IRiver is that the voice UI works well in the WPS (while playing screen) So to answer your other question:

Yes. If you want to bookmark a spot manually do the following:

1) press and hold the joy stick while your MP3 is playing. The box should start talking.
2) Arrow down until it says bookmarks
3) right arrow to create bookmark.
4)enter on it and the disc will start to spin up creating your bookmark.
5)left arrow and then press the on/pause button to confirm that you are out of the wps. the file should pause at that point.

I want to remind you that this firmware is still buggy. Especially with the voice UI. Your unit could crash and probably will at some point. Remember to have a safety pin handy to perform a soft reset.

What does stop recent only bookmarking do? Is there a way to place a book mark where ever you would like or only when you stop playing a file?

  Thanks,

I am using Rockbox with a IHP-120 and it works great. The only thing I have yet to figure out is the bookmarks. I am not sure if they are supported yet but everything else works great. The voiced menus rock and also the script to create .MP3 clips for your directories and files is a blessing. I have had the unit for almost a week and I totally love it.

As the subject line says. Let me know how you've got on, as I'm about to try it. Anyone know when the release for the 3X series units will be available?
        Thanks,
