The recommended way to shut down if you are playing music is to pause or sot
the music, all settings get written to disk, next press and hold stop to
power off

I don't think recorders have a shut down menu, but they have to be shut
down by a few sequential presses on the Off-button, rather than holding it
for a few seconds.
