It's a dual boot, so you don't need to revert to the iriver firmware.
To start the iriver fw, all you need to do is press and hold the REC
button, and then press and hold the ON/PLAY button until the iriver
flash screen appears. If it locks up (and it hasn't locked up for me at
all since bootloader v2 was released), just use a paperclip or something
similar to push the reset button and you're back in business.
