I've just run into my first non-flashable V1, a grey bumper unit.
Gawd, I can't believe how bad the stock boot loader is!

What was the deal with the non-flashable units? Mask rom or no write
lead or something like that?

Did anyone ever figure out a pattern, something like a range of serial
numbers, that would identify a non-flashable one?
