Yes, the same thing has now happened to me and I'm back in business. In so
far as your other problem of losing the voice is concerned, that too also
happened to me but I got it back with help by going into the Rockbox menu,
located language and reselecting English. Audrey started speaking
immediately, which was very gratifying.
