So you* confess to REPEATEDLY saying (ala) "you need to re-run
configure" ...and getting upset
When you* KNOW you* could say (ala) "type: ../tools/configure" ...and
get positive results.
The (clinical) term "self-deprecation" springs to mind :(

*"you" as in those who are performing this action, which may or may
not include you-personally.

...

Well. Every positive thing itemised in favour of The DevKit is
stripped from your replies; solutions to problems are eschewed and we
are nowhere near a balanced set of reasoning designed to manufacture
an amicable solution.

I really thought all this crap was over a loooong time ago. You now
KNOW that my claims about legal incorporation of the WAV codec were
valid and the inferred 'ploy to undermine Rockbox' was an
hallucination. Are you still scared that I am trying to tie illegal
activities to Rockbox so as to undermine it? Is it still because my
name is BlueChip not John Doe? Or are we just hanging on to the
misplaced hostilities those things created such a long time ago in the past?

I can see so many solutions to the present set of problems. It is
such a shame that we are unable to focus on positive outcomes :(
