This could be done by adding support for shortcuts (or links, if FAT32 can
cope). We'd also need some "magic" links to bring up specific menus, and
support for custom icons for shortcuts (maybe just a .ico file with the same
name as the link).

Then you could have a root directory such as:
<music dir>
<pictures dir> (makes sense to keep them separate this way)
<play dir>
plugins.lnk (just a link to .rockbox/plugins)
"radio.lnk"
"recorder.lnk"
"settings.lnk"

Or, going further, could the the radio, settings and record options be moved
to be plug-ins (once voice/language support for plug-ins has been done)?
This could then also free up some Archos memory.
