I can't tell if music played or not because without the voice to
navigate with, I couldn't play any files.

When you installed the voice fiel, did music still play, or did that
also fail?

If music also failed, please try the 4/25 daily build, or the latest CVS
build. There was a bug with startup and voice that I fixed this (4/24,
US Central) morning.

If music did not also fail, please remind me which target you are using
and I'll see if I can find out what's going on.
