Yes the x5 is pretty much like a iriver300. If you wan't to run rockbox you
should consider the x5l version which has a bigger battery. The size is
comparable, while the x5l is a little bit thicker i think.

The orig. firmware can
*play thumbnail movies
*ogg, mp3, flac, wav?
*fm-radio
*record in mp3

Well i think fm-radio and movie playing will not work with rockbox right know.
