        First, the control panel button does nothing here, either, but is
intended, I believe, to get you to the speech applet in control panel. This
is the same thing accessible from the control panel itself or by typing
control speech at a run prompt, so I think it's just there as a convenience.

        Secondly, you can, to the best of my knowledge, use any SAPI 5
capable voice. I use the Neospeech Kate and Paul voices sold with Kurzweil
but, as I said, you should be able to use any SAPI 5 capable voice. I, for
example, have two L&H voices as well as the Microsoft Sam, Mike and Mary
voices here. I would imagine that whatever nextuptech is selling would be
SAPI 5 capable and, therefore, would work fine with the script.

Hi

As you will know from yesterday's posts I have managed to use the script to
get my folder names spoken. However I have three further questions if
anyone
can please answer them.

1. When I am in the initial dialog for choosing the settings, there is a
button labelled "control panel". When pressing enter on this it does not
seem to do anything and I wonder please what I am expecting to see when this
button gets activated?

2. At the moment my voice labels are being spoken in the Microsoft Mike
voice which is not great but I can listen to it if I have to. If I were to
purchase Neospeech from
www.nextup.com
would I be able to use Neospeech Kate to read the folder names instead? Can

I use any other voices in addition to Neospeech?
