Yes, but needs for a visually impared (partially sited) person and a blind
person (totally siteless) are very different.

Thus the distinction must be made.

then .visually impaired

For your PS, I like to make the distinction that a blind person cannot see
at all, and a visually impared personcan has partial vision.

I live in the U.S. and this country is anally politically correct at times.

LOL ...yes, I realised that about 2 minutes after I hit 'Send' :)

I suppose "english-blind", "german-blind" etc. is the solution.

PS. I would like to say that in the UK "Blind" is considered "politically
incorrect" but I notice blind people referring to themselves as such ...so
if "swedish-fonetik" or "french-people_of_limited_sight_ability" is more
appropriate, that is what I mean ;)
