I know the 300 series running Rockbox records to PCM, but are the H100 units the same, or do they record straight to MP3 by default? If this is the case and the recording screen does not speak on the Iriver, is there any way to set the bit rate and the sampling rate via the menus using speech output - can you specify the quality of the recording - or are you stuck either using the defaults or memorizing the options contained within that screen and using the recorder without speech to set them?
