IIRC, this is not gonna end well. As soon as you cross the 137 GB barrier when filling the disk, the address will wrap over zero. So you will overwrite your MBR, partition table, FAT and root dir with some data which was meant to go beyond 137 GB.
In other words: the full content will be toast. I highly recommend to create a partition which stays just below 137G.

Or, we've been mistaken and the BigLBA addressing somehow magically works through the USB bridge.
