Is there any updated news as to what is happening with Rockbox 3.0?

What, specifically, are we waiting for now?

I have been monitoring the CVS logs, but it seems very little has
happened for weeks.
Most changes have been relatively trivial.

Is Rockbox still on a feature freeze?
