Subject: another advantage of Rockbox on the iPod
another advantage of Rockbox on the iPod
Hi,
An advantage of Rockbox on the iPod that I don't think has been
mentioned is the ability to change the pitch, i.e., the playback
speed of files. This could be very useful for skimming through a
podcast - quickly listening to what you don't want and slowing down
for what you do. The Apple firmware includes the ability to speed up
and slow down Audible books to some degree, and the pitch doesn't
change when this is done, all of which is wonderful. But it doesn't
offer any such capability with non-Audible files, and the Pitch
option allows for faster, albeit higher-pitched, playback.
Cheers,
Anna
