I don't know for sure if AC3 is supported by RB; I tried to search the
wiki but because of all the mailing list garbage I couldn't find a wiki
page on it for sure.

You do realize that an AC3 file is just the audio track, right? If you
really want to listen to it, you're probably better off transcoding to
MP3 or Vorbis.
