Try pressing your reset button.
I believe it is on the left side, near the top.
You'll need a paper clip or some such item to depress it.
It is a little hole.

I still don't have any speech. I will just wait till tomorrow and try
again. Would there be any need at all to reinstall rockbox? Thanks again
