A few bugs with latest rockbox
Hi all.

I have found a couple of what seem to be intermittent bugs with rockbox, related to the latest builds from
about November, and including the very latest. Apologies if these are already known but here they are
(i am using an Iriver H340):

1. Crash while scrolling around files/folders
When scrolling around list of folders/files (i have voice clips on), the player freezes. After this, no
buttons work, and a reset is required. The back light seems to still show, and the hold button will cause it
to come on again, but nothing else seems to work. This appears to be quite a normal rockbox crash, but
this one seems to happen only when in the midst of scrolling through files/folders.

2. All buttons except play stop working while playback is in progress.
While music is playing, occasionally all buttons will stop working except for play, which can be used to
play and pause the music. At this time, volume will not work, fwd/rew will not work, stop won't work, etc.
So a reset is required here too. This is similar to the crash described above but this time, play still
functions and music keeps playing. The back light also still works and so does the hold switch as
described in the previous bug.

3. intermittent skipping from the start of tracks in dirs
Occasionally, at the beginning of a track when starting to play, playback seems to skip a little
(maybe after 1 second of the track, or right at the start). This feels much like normal "skipping" when
you have anti-skip off, or much like when a file is slightly damaged, or skipping on a CD, but i can
verify that the mp3 or ogg file in question is completely ok. Usually this happens to the first file
in a directory when playing that directory. Sometimes, after this happens, if you skip fwd a few
tracks and then skip back to the first track, it will play fine.

Note that these are all intermittent. This means I cannot suggest the systematic behaviours that lead up
to these bugs. At least they seem intermittent to me at this stage, but maybe someone has worked out the
nature of these issues.

Any info on these issues would be appreciated.

Mat.
