My 1 G Nano works great! Has a battery life of 8-9 hours instead of
the stated 15, however.

The 5.5 G iPod Videos are known not to work at this time, nor is it
known when they will work.

I can't personally speak to the 5 G iPod Videos, but I've heard
nothing but good things, save the compromised battery life (slightly
more than 50% reduction from Apple's firmware, as I recall).

The funny thing is that Rockbox tends to use less power on most
platforms, but the iPod has not been reverse-engineered enough yet to
tell the developers what to shut off and how.
