  I was under the belief that I needed to use Itunes to convert the player to phat32. Can I just use Windows Explorer and format the drive? I guess I would have assumed if this was true it would have stated that on the Rockbox site under the instructions on how to convert the player.

    iTunes 7 does the job to format the iPod to FAT32 just fine. But look on
    Apple's site (http://www.apple.com) to see if they still offer iTunes 6 for users
    of older systems.
