Error reading from disk: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Sounds like your disc may have some corruption on it. I had a 10Gb iPod
once and it got to the stage where i could only load about 1Gb of music
before it would hit the bad blocks. Eventually it died completely.
However, its probably worth wiping it clean by rebuilding the Apple
firmware on it through iTunes and trying again from as if it was new.
If you still experience problems then it it most likely to be a hard
disk problem.
