Same problem I'm having. The voices on the net are up to date, but way too fast for not so experienced users. I'm still looking into making my own voice file to overcome this for four of my friends, but if someone else is well on their way in doing the same thing, I'm highly interested to hear about it. There are many problems to overcome when you want your own voice file as I've noticed, because the tutorial is written for techs, not for minds like me. But once I have it working here, I'll create a file for my own language area too, as there are quite a few blind folks who can't even read the slightest in English, but who would greatly appreciate something like rockbox if it were understandable. Keep us posted if you do find something, and I'll do so too.
