Try resetting it (see here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705) and charging it using
an AC adapter (not USB). This is a common ipod problem, apparently
unrelated to rockbox. If you don't have an AC adapter, go to your local
Apple store and ask to use theirs. They're very helpful folk.
