Tried a Winamp encode at 40 kbps, but it didn't use parametric stereo.
Create a couple of test files with the Nero encoder instead, and I got a
freeze on the PS files too. Funny thing is, it works fine in the
simulator... And that makes it harder to debug, unfortunately.

You don't need them. They can help during debugging (not in this case
though), but even then you don't need to put them on the player...
