You need to boot into the original firmware to put songs on the Sansa.
 Either plug the cable in while the Sansa is off or hold |<< while
turning on the Sansa.

Also, please read the mailing list rules. Specifically, please don't
top post (it can get confusing to whom you are responding) and don't
