Thanks for that advice. I'll do that. I suspect that I have an even more
ancient version of Rockbox on mine, however, as it doesn't have the .rockbox
directory but actually the old the rockbox.iriver folder. This is one
reason why I'm hesitant as can I be sure that I'll be able to make it point
back at this old folder if I need to reinstate my current ancient version as
the current bootloader will be looking for the newer .rockbox folder?

Hope this is clear.

BTW I've seem umpteen messages about cygwin but ignored them all. Is this
something useful to get to grips with? I'm happy with the current voices
for menus etc, and use Voicebox to create folder and filenames.
