Date: Tue, 27 Nov 2007 19:06:24 +0200 Hi Rob Thanks for the info. Just one more question: how does one know that an ipod is a first gen ipod? My son looked at the ipods on the net and he says it looks as if all the ipods have touch screens which would be difficult for us to access even with rockbox. Preferably it must have at least 2 gb memory. What about the Sansa c250? Wil it work with rockbox? Regards Fanus Hi Fanus, Yes, the Sansa c250 works well with Rockbox. You can also select from a Sansa e200 series (e250, e260, e270, e280), or a 1st Gen iPod nano (which has a white or black front and chrome backing). Be aware that if you see any Sansa packaging that mentions Audible audio file support, put it back on the shelf immediately; those are the dreaded "v2" models. These models have a completely different chipset inside of them which Rockbox doesn't support. Try to get a package that has no mention of Audible file support on it. Hope this helps.
