Hey Crystal,

as the others have pointed out, Rockbox is updated contiously on a daily
basis. On good way to find out if it might make sense for you to update
is the "major changes" page located at
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/MajorChanges
You can look at it every few weeks, so you don't have to check the
changelog all the time to find out if anything that affects you was changed.
