Well, but that's what gonna happen. In your case you probably didn't
change any settings or another event occured that synced the settings
to disk. Which means you just had luck -- doing a hard reset by
holding Menu + Select will give Rockbox no possibility to write the
settings, therefore they will definitely get lost. This doesn't mean
that you'll loose everything you have set up, you'll just loose all
your _changes_ to the settings. This also includes the resume position
of the playback.
