Hi. I've found sapi 4 to be a lot of trouble, but personally I like the reed voice because its able to pronounce everything in the lang file correctly, whereas with sapi 5 voices if you want them to pronounce stuff propperly, you have to do a lot of mucking around with various strings.
But anyway, back to your question, when looking at the list archives, once i'd installed the sapi voices under xp, in order to make them show up in the control panel, i found i had to register a particular dll, just wondering have you done that? you'd no if you have.
