Hey Michael,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately (at this time)
there is no possibility of getting rockbox on the iPod Classic.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any alternative program that would help
you out.

The problem is that the firmware of the Classic is encrypted and this
needs to be broken before a port can begin. Also, the machinery inside
isn't documented, as far as I know.

I guess you could check Loot or Exchange and Mart to see if you could do
a straight swap for a 5th (or 5.5) generation model??! Best of luck.
