The way I see it, what you have now says the following:

If the sleep timer has been set, display viewport 'a' which turns off
the status bar and display 'sleep X:XX' centered on line 21. Perhaps
you want the sleep timer information to be inside the viewport so that
the text is affected by the colour settings it has? I'm also confused
by the %wd (turn off status bar) tag sort of sitting there by it's
lonesome.
