I personally see it as "a fairly straightforward and minor request." We've written the manuals to provide a whole degree of useful information. It seems best to teach a man to fish, by pointing him at the manual, than by leaving him unaware that there is this font of useful information. > I am a member of various user group lists and use them for info. I never demanded that you read all information. I requested that you read the single most obvious source of information, and even pointed out explicitly that your answer was contained in it. > I obviously haven't used the user list as I hoped - to get basic > information so perhaps I'll just leave the site altogether. > > You've also been extremely disrespectful to the list, and to me personally, by calling me insulting terms and ignoring entirely the list guideline that was mentioned to you regarding top posting. I'm going to repeat that this guideline exists, and remind you that you are a member of a project-owned list here, and are the one seeking help. You don't do that by willfully disregarding the guidelines set in place by that project for that list. ------------------------------------------------------------------- List admin: http://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rockbox FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GeneralFAQ Etiquette: http://www.rockbox.org/mail/etiquette.html Received on 2009-04-22 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
